I am a married man in my early 50,s who has always had an active sex life with my wife. I recent years my ejaculation has become so intense that I am practically " howling at the moon " when I cum. The experience is pleasurable but verging on the extreme.I am not impotent. The power of the ejaculation is immense but the flow has lessened. Should I see a urologist to investigate. |

Do you get any pain or headaches during or after ejaculation?
when I orgasm there is no pain or headaches or tiredness afterwards or during. Sensation is pleasure on the extreme. No loss of feeling to lower legs, no twitches, no difficulty breathing or pains in chest. Sleep behaviour is normal. The longer the foreplay the more intense the sensation after. Colour, smell, texture and taste of semen is normal, although less in volume compared to younger years regardless of masturbation or sexual intercourse.

How is your physical fitness? ie, do you do much aerobic / cardiovascular exercise?
Do not do aerobic excercise. Do occasional walking the dog. Never playing active team sport. Am not super fit, but fitness is above average for 50 year old. Been to gym in last year. weight is 75kg, height is 170cm and fitness are normal. Should mention that i am currently having on going Chemo treatment for NON hodgkins diesease.Nurses regularly check pulse, blood pressure and temp and are all in very good range. When I am not in hospital sexual routine is not affected. Problem with intense orgasm started years before cancer treatment
Ok, because you're being treated with chemotherapy, before you follow any of this advice, you MUST seek permission from your Doctor.
In short, I advise you to take up some gentle exercise to build your cardiovascular strength.
I think the reason your orgasms feel so intense is this: at rest, your heart reate is about 70 beats per minute (bpm). To get to orgasm, your heart rate has to increase by about 50 bpm. For younger people, or for physically fitter people, this is usually no problem. But as you age, your heart becomes ever so gradually weaker, and so it becomes slightly more difficult to get to these higher bpms.
In your case, because you don't do regular aerobic exercise, your heart isn't as strong as it could be. It's not used to hitting the higher bpms. So when you work up to orgasm, it feels like a huge amount of work, maybe like a person who hasn't exercised for years suddenly bursting into a 100 metre sprint.
If you do regular exercise and build your heart strength, orgasm will become easier to achieve and won't feel your 'howling at the moon' sensation as much.
Read more on this in the manpower section.
However as I said above, you MUST seek your doctor's permission before starting an exercise program.
thank you. Advice appreciated . Will consult doctor and arrange a training programme to gradually bring me up to better level of fitness.
