The Two Pillars of Manpower


For younger men, two things come easy: erections, and orgasm. As you get older, these two facts of life, which you've taken for granted for a long time, ever so gradually become more difficult to attain. Sometime in the late 20s or early 30s, sexual desire and ability starts to slow down.
Fortunately, there is something you can do about it. The two problems each have their solution, and solving both together is best.

The first problem is that it becomes a little bit harder to get to orgasm. Normally for younger men, getting to orgasm is a foregone conclusion, but as you get older, you might find it takes you longer to get there, takes more physical effort, and eventually you or your body might decide that the sexual pleasure to be returned from an orgasm (or from getting close to orgasm) just isn't worth the physical effort. What's happening?
In short, your heart, which is a muscle, isn't as strong or effective as when you were younger. When you have an orgasm, you'll probably notice your heart beating really fast. And it's not just from the physical exertion of sex. If you're lying on your back not moving, and your partner is on top and does all the work, when you orgasm, your heart still beats fast.
At rest, heart rate is about 60 to 80 beats per minute (bpm). When you orgasm, your heart has to increase to around 120 to 130 bpm.

As you age, your heart's ability to reach these higher rates drops about 1% every year. You can see this expressed in a graph that's shown on just about every exercise machine in every gym the world over:

But here's the rub: you can improve your heart's strength and ability to pump blood around the body simply by doing regular exercise. A stronger heart and a fitter body makes it easier to reach higher hearts rates needed for strenuous exercise like running ... or orgasm.

The exercise you do needs to be what's known as aerobic or cardiovascular exercise. That means you need to be sweating a lot by the time you're finished. If it's light, relaxing exericise, you're doing it wrong, and your fitness and heart strength won't improve.

So, in short, better cardio fitness => stronger heart => easier orgasm
