Hey

I'm 19 and am having issues in the bedroom with my irl. Now I've been unable to get hard for any girl, well i get hard in some cases and then it'll just go away. I've been to the doctor and have meen told its just me thinking too much about it. Im very attracted to my girl, and i love her so this isn't the issue. I've tried to not think about it but its alays in the back of my mind. Is there any tips or hints you could provide to help eliminate the negative thoughts. I am relaxed and comfortable while engaging in foreplay but my erection just seems to go away randomly during this and it never seems to come back.

Any tips or help would be appreciated.

Ta

Stress, worry and performance anxiety are very powerful psychological factors which can cause erection problems, even at your young age.

When you masturbate, can you get an erection ok? Can you keep that erection going for say 10 minutes at a time (assuming no orgasm)? If so, the problem is not physical.

Unfortunately, saying "it's all in your mind" doesn't actually solve the problem.

First of all, the penis needs continuous physical contact to stay hard. That contact could be from your partner, or even from bedsheets. But if there is no physical contact at all, the erection will (gradually) go soft. So during foreplay you would expect the erection to come and go depending on the level of contact.

However if you are losing the erection during sex, that's different.

If you're using condoms, try changing types or brands.

The key is relaxation (of the mind). You say you are relaxed, but yet you can't stop thinking about your erection problem, so this worry will contribute to tension, nervousness and poor erections. Maybe try meditation during sex in order to take your mind from thinking about it.
